ATIS system to new main airport of Mauritania

ACAMS partners with Núcleo de Comunicaciones Y Control to supply D-ATIS system to New Nouakchott International Airport, Mauritania, 

ACAMS has been selected to supply a new D-ATIS system to the new international airport of Nouakchott, the capital of  Mauritania in West Africa. The airport began construction in 2012.

The new main airport of Maritania is located about 25 km north of the capital, and will have a capacity of two million passengers through a 22 000 m2 terminal building. The double runways of up to 3400m will set new standards for the country, allowing also the largest commercial aircraft to land and take off.

Mauritania is a proud member of ASECNA (the Agency for the Safety of Air Navigation in Africa and Madagascar),with 17 African member States, headquartered in Dakar. ASECNAs provides and coordinates air navigation servies as well as systems and procedures to ensure experience sharing and ICAO standard compliances among its members.

ACAMS is contracted to supply a turnkey D-ATIS solution, ensuring a successful installation and operation of the system. The system will be supplied through Nucleo de Comunicaciones Y Control S.L.U., a division of the Spanish enterprise DF Núcleo.
